A 39-year-old guy was shot dead in a auto Friday in East Garfield Park on the West Side.

Travis Thompchild was in a parked vehicle around 10:15 p.m. in the 3300 block of West Monroe Street as soon as someone got out of a red or maroon four-door car and also opened up fire, Chicearlier police and also the Chef County clinical examiner’s office said.

Thompson, that lived in Humboldt Park, was swarm multiple times, and also pronounced dead on the scene, authorities shelp.

An autopsy conducted Saturday confirmed that he passed away of his injuries, the medical examiner’s office said. His death has been ruled a homicide.

The suspected shooter drove off west on Monroe, police shelp.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
